Choose to Create New Actions and Make a Difference!

In Honor of Memorial Day and all the men and women who have over the years, swallowed their fear and acted to make a huge difference in our lives, I ask you now, What steps and how far will you go to make a difference in your life and the lives of others? Will you be inspired to chart a new path or will you keep doing as you have always done? I know it is easier said than done. I had a major aha moment last week that completely set my old thoughts and behaviors on a tailspin! I was blindsided actually!

I am incredibly grateful for this awakening! Ahas like this only come along very rarely! This one I am listening to! I am now getting my bearings, looking for support and ways to take my life in a new direction. This place of inevitable change is a scary place to be! What moves me forward is the even scarier place of falling back into my old habits and mindset and ‘business as usual’! As I see it, my only choice is to change, or rather to grow, evolve and begin again on the path I know I want to be on. The path I am meant to create. So with that in mind, I am embracing this as my mantra today and everyday forward! Today I will make a difference, creating value, for others in my life! As I see it, this is the only path toward my success and life of harmony! What will you do?

Today I Will Make A Difference

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of their thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It’s OK to stumble - I will get up. It’s OK to fail - I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.

I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.

Today I will make a difference.
